Hi all,

I'm stuck...I have E2K3 set up and can receive mail from the same network. When I try to send mail from my Yahoo account to my E2K3 account I never receive it. I'm getting 5.7.3 errors. Anyone have any ideas? I have set the options on the server to receive anonymous mail and have no authentication checked off...

A message (from <george.nussbaum@comcast.net>) was received at 30 Sep 2003 15:23:12 +0000.

The following addresses had delivery problems:

Persistent Transient Failure: Delivery time expired

There wasn't a 5.7.3 error as I had thought. Just the above error.

Have you setup MX record in the external DNS for the mail server, as well as an smtp connector in Exchange?

I have the MX record set up, but I didn't think I needed an smtp connector...do I?

do you have port 25 open on your firewall?

There are certain scenarios which require you to setup smtp connector. Mine seems to fall into one such scenario.

Did you say u have anonymous access checked off? Then that's your problem. You need this to be on.

I fixed it...under SMTP settings, I had the Connection settings too restrictive...I just need the ip addresses restrictions for relaying so I took them out of connections
