Cannot Read disk or folder

Hello... I downloaded a chess program on my computer. After getting it, I decided to delete the program a little while later. When I try to delete the program it says that it cannot read the disk or folder. Is there a way for me to completely get rid of this program ?Any replies appreciated......Thanks.

It may be that the programs or one of its components was in use at the time you tried the deletion.
