Cannot print from Quark 4.1 / chooser will not recognise driver

I'm a bit of a novice, but desparate for some help. I am using quarkXpress 4.1, in mac classic from a pwerbook G4 computer. My startup system is 10.3. Unfortunately I don't have the option of booting up in system 9.

The error message I get in quakXpress says that it sees the printer, but says that it is not selected properly. It advises to go to "chooser".

However this doesn't have any effect. Why wont the
chooser allow me to set up my Epson printer, even though it can see it.

I'm a bit stumped. Please advise.

Do you have the classic driver for the printer?

Using OSX 10.3.8 on a G4

Thanks "JMGALVIN", but I have the classic driver for my printer installed. But as mentioned I can't get chooser to set it up. Is there some incompatability between OSX and Classic that stops quark printing.

Something tells me it something incredibly simple but its incredibly frustrating, when you can't see it.
