Hi

We have an IP Office SOE on a remote site which we are trying to ping though a hardware Site-to-Site VPN connection (we are acually trying to manage it but it does not return pings and therefore we cannot connect with manager).

We can ping any other machine on that network from the remote site (therefore it appears to be not a vpn/network issue)

IF we use a VPN client to login to the remote site we can ping/manage the SOE. We beleive this is becasue the machine computer gets its own IP address on the remote network subnet therefore the IPoffice is having problems communicating to a different subnet?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks
B

Which Lan port are you using?
If your using Lan2, did you try to turn off the Firewall?
Is the route setup correct?

Sounds lie an IP route issue to me.

Try adding a route back to your range of IPs
If your remote address is 10.1.1.5
and your gateway is 192.168.1.1
Then add a route like
10.1.1.0
255.255.255.0
192.168.1.1
Lan1 or 2 depending on where you are plugged in.

definetly ip route problem,

set 0.0.0.0/0.0.0.0 to use the default vpn gateway, Lan1
