Hi,

I've got a Windows 2000 server which is a member of a Windows NT 4.0 domain (which is on a different subnet). Up until recently the server had been working fine but now I can't ping the PDC or BDC from the W2K server. I've tried from PC's on the same network as the server with the same results. However when I ping the PDC or BDC from a server on the same subnet I get a reply.

In all cases DNS resolves the IP Adress correctly but I just can't get a reply. I've checked other servers on the same switch and I can ping them from each subnet so it doesn't look like a router or switch issue.

Please help!

Turns out the PDC had Service Pack 6a applied yesterday and the installed failed. Reapplying the service pack has resolved the issue
