I have Windows 98se installed and used IEradicator 2001 to start fresh. Then installed IE 6;. Now when I want to open my pictures it says:Windows cannot fine iexplore.exe,this program is needed for opening files of type'JPEG Image. Did I get a bad IE 6 setup? Also, the Windows Explore page that opens with the pictures. Shows on the left side the information pertaining to the picture that I have the mouse on and a small picture of it is showing. How come it can show that picture and not the full picture?

Thanx!

Open Windows Explorer, and go to Tools\Folder Options.
select the JPEG extension. Click the Advanced (or Edit) button.

Select the "open" action and click the Edit button.

Under "Applications used", point iexplore.exe path

"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" -nohome

Check the "Use DDE" checkbox.

Under "DDE Message", enter:
"file:%1",,-1,,,,,

"Application":
IExplore

"DDE Application ..."
<leave blank>

Murugs, thanks for responding! I did as you said; the only thing that was not exactly the same was,

Application used to perform: “iexplore.exe"-nohome

Everything else was the same, so I figured that is was alright. But when I clicked OK to close I received this prompt:

The specified Program could not be found. Make sure the file name and path are correct!

So thinking that the application used was incomplete I added the following:

“C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe”-nohome

And then click OK to close, but got the same prompt.
