I HAVE WINDOWS 98/SE, AND WHEN I GO TO WINDOWS EXPLORER, CLICK ON THE DRIVE LETTER, THEN SELECT THE FOLDER THAT CONTAINS ALL OF MY PHOTOS, IT BRINGS UP THE LIST OF ALL MY PHOTOS, BUT WHEN I CLICK ON THE SPECIFIC FILE, TO LOOK AT THE PHOTO, IT DOES NOT OPEN? I DON'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED, IT USE TO OPEN FINE, NOW IT DOESN'T. I CAN OPEN MICROSOFT PICTURE IT AND VIEW THE PHOTO THERE, BUT I WANT TO BE ABLE TO OPEN THRU WINDOWS EXPLORE, SO I CAN SEE THE PHOTO, THEN RENAME IT TO WHATEVER I LIKE, NOW I CANT OPEN THE PHOTO, IT DOES NOTHING WHEN I DOUBLE CLICK ON THE PHOTO. CAN ANYONE HELP ME GET IT BACK TO THE WAY IT WAS? THANKS

Single click the file to highlight it
With the shift key held down, right click the file
Select open with then pick an application
Check the box to always use that application

Right-click on that folder and make sure Enable Thumbnail View and the Read-Only check box is checked.

If that doesn't work:

Go to Start>Run, and type regsvr32.ex3e thumbvw.dll. Now open a new window. choose View>Refresh, then select Thumbnail view under the Views icon on the toolbar.

Do you realize your CAP lock is stuck?
