No, I am not discouraging solutions I have not tried, but I cannot see a reason for using Excel. If the data can be copied into Excel, it can more safely be copied into a new database. Transferring from Excel to Access can be a problem, as I am sure you must have noticed from many posts. In addition, all relationships will be lost and unless the database is split, it will still be necessary to copy forms, reports queries etc to a new database.

Is the thread most often recommended for corrupt databases, however, from what has been said so far, I do not think that Robob2007 has a corrupt database, so I think it is advisable to check the simplest possibilities before moving to more drastic solutions.
