Phil mentioned that Contivity 4.12 is coming and it seems it might be the solution to my problem. Here is my situation... Please let have your thoughts and would you elaborate a little on Phil's comment about 4.12, "it's
got other issues"? In order for me to get a copy of 4.12, I will have to debate the issue with our admin people.

I'm Using Contivity 4.10 client on XP Prof. I can connect to our enterprise network from home via Sprint ION. I can access exchange server email, 3270 emulation, Intranet, other applications. I can not map to network drives. Ipconfig/wntipcfg does not show a WINS server or DNS for the Extranet adapter. I do have the DNS, WINS, and Domain
filled in correctly in the client's Name Server Options Page.

I have the same arrangement on a WinMe computer, connected the same way and I am able to map. I have gone through and around my linksys router with same identical results.

There is a configuration field on the Contivity Extranet Switch that allows for the passing down of the parameters of such things as DNS and WINS to the client adapter upon authentication. Additionally, if there is a DHCP server that is being used downstream of the CES with the CES doing the relay this may a place to check.

How can I get a hold of this Nortel VPN Client for XP. I am having the same problem you were with the older client?

I need to get a hold of this client also. Nortel decided they are only going to support XP for people with software subscriptions. Can anyone help us out?

Here is a link I just found. I had to ftp to the site through a DOS prompt. I couldn't get it through a browser. Hope it doesn't get taken down too fast ;).

ftp://ftp.qut.edu.au/pub/vpn/eac410i.exe

I have the same problem and downloaded the new client and it didn't help.
