I'm sure this has been answered plenty but no searches seem to have a definitive answer.

I just set up a Windows Server 2003 and I cannot seem to log on (or even bring up the log/pass screen for that matter) from any of the 3 G5's here. I know the server is configured correctly because my Win2k box logs in just fine.

Is there some checklist I can run down or a specific known fix for this?
Is there any chance my router is to blame?

Try looking at Admit Mac or at least browse Thursby's web site for some information.

You will of course have to create your own Apple Scripts for mapping network drives and such or just go to "Go" "Connect to Server". Admit Mac eliminates the use of Appletalk and runs everything over TCP/IP and adds the Mac's to Active Directory.

awesome! I'll check it out. My network admin is highly against 3rd software for something that should be simple though.

ok I finally got the mac to communicate with the server but there was a registry spot i had to edit:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\lanmanserver\parameters and I had to null (set from 1 to 0) requiresecuritysignature once I do this the macs talk to the server fine but that key keeps getting reset back to 1 How do I stop it from getting reset back to 1
