When I try to load a program I created with VB6 into a laptop I get an error code which says. "The SETUP.EXE file is linked to missing export OLEAUT32.DLL:185 on the first screen. A second error message comes up and says A:\Setup.exe A device attached to the system is not functioning. Anyone have any suggestions. All would be greatly appreciated.

I can suggest maybe to download file from MS called vbrun60.exe (it is the runtime files for vb6) this might cure OLE's problem with VB6 install???

Thank you for your tip as I just completed the download and once installed, the program worked with no <br>
additional problems. Thanks again for your assistance is greatly appreciated.

A quicker fixer is to run &quot;EXTRACT /Y /L C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM A:\CABNAME.CAB OLEAUT32.DLL&quot;, where &quot;CABNAME&quot; is the name of the setup cab on the install floppy. The error can occur when VB6 setup tries to use an out-of-date oleaut32.dll.
