Cannot Install Any Sotware on Solaris

Im new to solaris- Go easy.
I have tried to install xIrc/Apache/and many others on my solaris 9 practice box. When i select on available software to install from the list in admintool i'm asked for a source. Where is the source? (all the solaris cd's i have do not have the necessary files) Do i have to download each one of the software packages?
realise its an easy one but its doin me ead in.

If the CDs don't have the applications you want, you should go to the Sun web site and download the packages to a directory on your system. You can also install shareware packages (such as GNU packages) from

http://www.sunfreeware.com/.

Then, as your source choose the directory you downloaded to.
