Cannot import universe

In Designer i'm getting error "Could not import universe" when i try to import a universe from the Reposiory. In the Business Objects too when i try to create a document, i cannot select any universe as this option itself is disabled. I have adequate rights (import universe, create documents etc.) as i have the Designer profile. I can access these universes through InfoView without any problem. Can anyone tell me what could be the problem here.

The middleware on your desk is not set up correctly. You need to make sure that the ODBC connections have the exact same name on your desk that they do on the server.

Hi ,
I think you better repair the repository. Through the supervior module perform the integrity check on the universe domain.

also just check if anyone has not locked the universe. also try whether another other designer user having access to same universe also has the same problem
