I have installed SQL Server on my local machine, but I cannot get the MSSQLServer Service to start. Keep gettting a message about Error 0002: The system can't find the file.

And, during the install, I get an error about not being able to find the file. Where can I look to find out what file it is looking for!

I am able to use SQL Enterprise Mgr to connect to my 'server', but cannot get my machine to be the server.

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

Sandra

I don't know what 0002 is, but:

Check that the services are using accounts that have full permissions on that box.

Make sure that your registry isn't full as well...

I can't think of anything else off the top of my head...
