cannot get rid of print history

hi all,

I can't work out why our hp 2300n leaves the document in the printer status windows as 'status printed', resulting in a huge list of all the documents that have been printed.
Apart from that the printer prints fine.

It may be to do with the way I installed the software. As the installation kept crashing at the end with 'severe
error' whenever I chose a network install, I had no choice but to manually create a HP tcp/ip printer port then install the software locally to this port during the setup.

Check out all the tabs in the driver. May have checked something in the advanced tab that should'nt be.
