HELP!

I can access almost every website except for Everytime I try to load this page I get the "Cannot find server or DNS Error" message.

I have dowloaded several spyware programs:

Microsoft Antispyware
Ad-Aware
Spy Subtract
Spyware Blaster
Spybot - Search & Destroy

I have tried the WinSock fix, disabling the DNS Client, flushing the DNS Cache, deleting the Hosts file, disabling the windows firewall, reistalling the NIC drivers, and several other things only to still have the same end result.

I am running Windows XP Pro with Service Pack 2, and below is my HijackThis log file:

I am connecting through a router, and the other computer connected to the router can access the verizon website just fine. Any ideas, I'm dying here!!

Sounds like a strange one.....

Your DNS resolution is fine for all other websites, correct?

Where is your machine picking up DNS resolution from?

Hi chriscj21 & ChrisAC

I don't know how to tell where my machine is picking up DNS resolution, but here is the result of the nslookup...

name: address: 162.115.163.100

I tried on the computer that can access the website (which is running 98 SE) but the nslookup did not work on that machine. However, when I typed the IP address in on that machine the site came up.

Ok - run "NSLOOKUP" from a cmd prompt, what does it say?.....

This will tell you of your authorative DNS name server....As you can access the site via ip address this certainly seems to be a dns issue.

Well, you can reslolve the IP address okay.

Is the machine that the website works okay on going through a proxy server maybe?

As you can resolve the DNS okay, I would be inclined to say that DNS isn't an issue here. It resolves just fine.

Chris.

When I do the nslookup it gives me the "non-authoritative answer".

The IP address does not work on my machine - it works on a different computer in my home.

On my machine I cannot access the website by name or by IP, but was able to give you the nslookup information above from it. Sorry for confusing everyone.

Also, the computer that IS working is not connecting through a proxy server.
