I have a database out on a shared drive, and the problem that is occuring is that one user, upon using a form that performs a function, gets a "Cannot find project or library" error message and within the function in the VBA module the "Date" function is highlighted. This error does not happen on my machine, so why would this user not be able to perform the Date function that retrieves today's date?
She has the "Visual Basic for Applications" checked off in her References, where the Date is stated to reside....
What can be the problem??

Please help.

Could the problem machine have a less complete installation of Access running on it? If so, you can add additional "advanced" components from the installation CD.
Does the problem machine reference the same VBA file as the good machine? There are several different VBA files that all show up in the references list as "Visual Basic for Applications", so I think the one that should be referenced is "vba332.dll".

this issue usually happens when a computer has a newer type library
you need to refresh your references

1 on the modules tab click new
2 on tools click references
3 in the references dialog box pick any one reference not already selected. note which one you selected then click ok
4 on tools click references again
5 clear the reference you selected in step 3
hope that was it
I have came across this problem before, usually the DAO have the word "MISSING" on the reference list. There is a web site that had a program the would fix that, if you want I can search to find that site.
