An error occurred during a call to Windows Management Instrumentation ID no: 80041013 Exchange System Manager."

I get this error message when I look at the server properties. I am able to check the boxes to track messages but can't change the folder.

Also (and I dont know if this is related) but when I choose the Directory Access tab from the same server this message pops up "Information about Directory Services could not be entirely obtained. Check to see the the Exchange Management Service is running. The service is running and can be stopped and restarted.

I have changed the DC policy to allow the local service and service accounts the impersonate client after logon policy.

I created and ran the script suggested by your attachment but it did not work. I do not have a service pack installed on that server right now either.

Thanks for the tip, I'll keep looking.

I changed the username of the Exchange Managemant Service to run as the local system (was set to administrator). This worked!
Give it a try and let me know how you get on.

Thanks for another good suggestion, but all of my Exchange Services are running under local system already.
