I need to switch off some performance stuff because of errors in the eventvwr. The file issue we have is with PSCHED.dll

The MS article says to do this in the registry but as administrator I don't have rights to be able to see this area of registry

MS Article 828872

Registry key is HKLM\System\CCS\Services\nbf\performance

another way you can shut off perf errors in the event viewer is to use the Win2K resource kit util EXCTRLST. From there you can select the perf counter that is generating the errors. I used this tool when we started getting issues after disabling unwanted services.

Cheers, I will give that a crack. Just concerned that I cannot get at the permissions in the reg.
