I'm doing a change to a set of Crystal reports that someone else wrote. They were probably upgraded from Linc 10 to Linc 11.5, meaning that the original default value was lost. I know how to deal with that, edit and restore the value. But these parameters don't have 'edit' among the options when I right-click. One does, but not those that I want to change.

Has anyone else come across this? And is there a fix? It's not essential, I can do the requested change, but it is puzzling and irritating.

Any chance that these parameters come from a Stored Proc? I think that there are limits on what you can change in that case (ie you can't change the data type) but I thought that you could still add and edit the defaults.

Thanks for replying/ But no, it is not a stored procedure.

That is curious. I would like to see if the parameter behaves the same way in another version/environment. Would you mind sending me a copy to test?

Sorry, I work for a financial institution and there are security rules.

I understand. RPT files, even saved without data, can sometimes sometimes have sensitive info.

One last thought. Are you (were you at some point) within a BO Enterprise environment? I think universal parameters can be created at the enterprise level and those might have limits on what can be edited.

Yes, some people have access, though I don't. Thanks.
