Cannot dial 800 numbers

Users cannot dial 800 numbers.

The cause code is a little confusing:

Cause No. 57 - bearer capability not authorized [Q.850]
This cause indicates that the user has requested a bearer capability which is implemented by the equipment which generated this cause but the user is not authorized to use.

Is this a carrier issue?

Yes. The carrier is not capable of completing the request. It's in the same region as carrier blocking the request.

So AT%T is blocking 800 numbers?

I think issue is the number you're sending as calling party number. As a test, force complete main billing number and see if it makes a difference.

I've had this happen with the carrier before and it was because they needed to see the main btn for toll free calls. We were sending their DID's out. We ended up sending the main number for 800 numbers and the rest we sent their did's.

Yes. But you will probably also need to do 1888, 1877, and 1866 as those are also toll free numbers these days.

some toll free numbers can also not be called if the target number is local to the initiator of the call. They expect you then to dial the local number to avoid charges for the toll free number holder.
