I want to update a file in the repl$ share, but am getting this message "cannot delete sdat: access is denied - make sure the disk is not full or write protected and the that the file is not currently in use"

I have checked all three things and all seems to be well, i have done this task many times, and the files get replicated to all the other servers... any insight would be appreciated Regards

Check security properties of both repl$ and the file/s. You may not have permission to delete.

I have deleted and renamed the file before, what it is that, I download a dat file from macafee for virus updates, i rename that to sdat.exe and then add a line in the logon script to update the computers when users login, that way i can ensure that any computer that is on, has the latest dat files....

I have in the past, deleted the file from the repl$ share, and then copy the sdatXXXX.exe, and then rename the file to sdat.exe cos thats what it is in the login scripts.

just stopped working dont know why, it says that file is in use, but when i look via dameware in openfiles on the server that has the repl$ share, there is only me that has the has connections to the share, the account that i use is a domain admin, the one that i have used for over 18months...

NT doing my head in.. Regards
