Cannot delete email/SMTP connectors from the queue!

I have about 20 messages in the queue that I had "frozen" so they would not be sent. I now would like to delete them, but i am not given the option to do so (delete is grayed out).

I thought I might "unfreeze" the SMTP connectors, find the messages and then delete them, but like i said, delete is disabled.

How can i remove these emails/connectors from the queue?
