A little confusing but here goes!

I have been trying to set up macines within a network to connect to an external VPN. I have all the correct ip addresses and connection info of the VPN and have set up a new connection for this on a test machine. The only problem is that it will not connect. This particular machine has internet access, from the proxy. I have also tried to ping an external ip address with no luck. This is probably something very simple but i have had no luck sourcing the problem. At first i thought it might have been ISA server, but i have that configured correctly. Any body have any ideas?

Cheers,

JB

Thanks for the post ChicagoTechNet,

I can ping the IP address of the VPN. I can also log into the VPN. The problem I have is that i cannot connect from a network machine. I have been looking into gateway's and internal IP addressing. We are using a DNS lease for the IP addresses, i'm not sure that would make a difference though. I will have a look at the link you posted.

Thanks again.

JB
