Trying to setup home wireless network. Used the following:

Created user accounts with passwords on both pcs. Both user accounts have admin privledges. Ran network setup wizard on both pcs. Using Win XP Home on main pc which is connected to a Linksys WRT54G router. Firewall is disabled on router. McAfee firewall is also disabled on main pc since the subscription ran out. Created network called "Home". Shared a folder on both pcs. Also shared the printer on the main pc that was connected to it. Second pc has Win XP Pro. The second pc has the windows firewall disabled. I can see the shared drive from the main pc and i can see the pc in view workgroup computers. I cannot see the main pc from the second pc. Tried pinging the main pc from the second pc and it times out. I do have internet access so the second pc is communicating with the router. When i try to view my workgroup computers from the second pc im getting an error that says cannot connect to network check to see if u have privledges to the network or something similar to that.
Second pc is using a linksys wireless pci card. Any ideas?

Try uninstalling mcafee and see if that solves your problem. Had similar problems before with zone alarm, removed it and problem was solved. Although we were using win2k pro not xp. But i would give that a shot.
