I have a win XP/PRO-dual booting with win/98se. I have a lite-on DVD/CD burner which I cannot boot from. The BIOS boot sequence is floopy, HDD, CD-ROM. I figure that I used to be able to boot from it or how did I load Windows. I had to exchange the burner and have not booted from it since then. Is there a switch or something that I overlooked when i swapped units? (Boot sequence acts like it does not even see a boot CD - includeing, but limited to the original win98se install disk.) Any ideas would be appreciated. [bigears]

The boot sequence needs to be Floppy, CD-ROM, HDD for a boot unless your HDD is empty.

Thanks for the post. Seems I have a case of hands-move- before-mind-moves [blush]. I checked and the sequence is Floppy, CDROM, Hard Disk. Any other ideas?
