cannot boot from cd0

i'm trying to install AIX5L on our 44p170's second disk HDISK1, so after a reboot, i would hit the F5 key to boot from the installation CDs.

the problem is it would hang at an LED code 0826 P1/S2, and this means that it is configuring serial port 2

but if i boot normally from hdisk0 with AIX 4.3.3 in it, it would continue normally

any clues???
