cannot add or change record

When trying to update my recordset, I am getting the following error:

Microsoft JET Database Engine (0x80040E21)
You cannot add or change a record because a related record is required in table 'Locations'

I am using an access database, and the Locations field is not required, and set to allow zero length. Any ideas?

I am telling the code to give it a value, but I keep getting the error. Thanks.

That is a schema problem in your database. You should be able to reproduce the error running a SQL statement from an Access Query window.

Ask for a solution in one the MS Access forum.
