Hi,
One of my users keeps getting errors when he tries to click on links ton network files. An engineer will e-mail a link to a drawing on the network to his manager for review. It will read something like:
"Bossman, here's the drawing. LMK what you think.
\\mycompany\drawings\PART001.dwg"
All flavours of Outlook (and some others using OE!) can interpret this as a network link and launch the file properly using the registered viewer. OE lights this up as a link as well -- shows up as "file://\\mycompany\drawings\PART001.dwg" when hovering over the link.
However, Bossman can't see the files. He gets a "you do not have permissions to..." blah blah, when he tries to open the file -- which is bogus coz he's the Bossman and has all the permissions (Domain admin!).
How can I make Bossman happy?
(Engineers all use Outlook 2000/2003)
Thanks!
