Cannot access FTP site

I have setup IIS 5 on win2000 member server. The Primary Domain Controller is NT4. The website works fine. However, I cannot access into the FTP site with the standard FTP accounts. I can access the FTP site with the Local Admin account but not with any others, including the Domain Admins account.

I have already added the FTP users group to the FTP Site Operator group, but still no help. I am at a loss, does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

What are the exact errors you guys are having? Is it the famous "Access Denied" or is it something else.

Sounds like NTFS permissions, although it could be ftp access also. In FTP properties within IIS, double check your security accounts and directory security settings.

For troubleshooting NTFS related issues, I recommend FILEMON available from

http://www.sysinternals.com

Just execute FILEMON on the web server, and try connect to the web server from a remote connection. You will be looking for an 'access denied' entry in the log, and will tell you if a specific file someplace may be prohibiting user access.

With more information this problem can be solved.
