cannont delete printers 1

I have a windows 2000 Server with All windows XP clients. I added some local printers to the server and shared them. I installed these printers as network printers on some of the clients. Now, I can't delete them off the clients, not even as local or domain administrator. They will not go!
I cant find any permission blocking it. I have full control of all the printers. Please help

Reboot the clients then delete the printers.Sometimes that same scenario takes place trying to delete printer ports and a reboot seems to allow the deletion.
