Hello

I have a form with a command button which starts a time-consuming make-table query (about 10 minutes). Is there a way to give the user the possibility to stop an ongoing query?

When running the make-table query, MS Access pops up a form which says "please wait.......". On this pop up form I would like to include a button "Cancel" which would stop the make-table query.

I am happy about any ideas.

Thank you. Stefan

The user can hit CTL-Break to stop the query from running. I don't believe while the query is running it will allow for a button click.

If you use a recordset instead to populate the table with data, you can them add code to look for the ESC key after every record, and then abort the code.

Good luck! Anthony J. DeSalvo
