Can you upgrade w2k Server to w2k Advanced Server?

I have recently implemented several w2k Server builds and now we require to cluster 2 member machines for resilience. I have tried to run the w2k Advanced server CD on the servers I need on Advanced and it just says "unable to upgrade" and offers a clean install only. Is there any way I can perform an upgrade or do I have to start again as MS say? Any ideas would be cool, Ta.
