Can you sum a column or row by color? 2

Example. From A1 to A100 there are a series of cells with various colors. I'd like to sum only the red cells.

Not without a User Defined Function in VBA. Are you comfortable proceeding with a VBA solution? If not, then you should designate a column and have it marked either YES/NO or 1/0. That really would be the best way to proceed from a data storage point of view, IMHO.

Unless of course there is a logic behind the red colouring of the cells that can be replicated using a normal function, in which case VBA is not needed :)

.. which should of course be our first course of action. Very little we do can compare with the speed/efficiency of the native methods available to us.
