Can you mail merge in Quark 4.1? 3

Hey there,

I am trying to create an A5 booklet for a cocktail party, with 500-1000 names in it.

Does anyone know a quick and easy way of merging the names directly into the document?

Or if anyone has another solution I would appreciate the advice.

Two ways I'd think of doing it -
1 - actually do the merge in Word and set up text boxes for each section of names.
2 - if you have the xdata xtension - simply set up the fields to go inline

VERY easy:-

use XPress Tags

master page > shrink main text box to variable info size > add static elements around this box > go to page 1 > import text > job done

only important pre-requisite:
at the end of each name there should be a new textbox character

result: 500 - 1000 pages automatically generated
