Can WordPad be automated?

I want to use Wordpad as a text viewer and needs to be able to automate it? Is it a server? How do I call it?

You can't. Not Wordpad, Notepad, Paint nor Outlook Express. Basically, MS didn't create much "free" software that can be automated!

As Rick said, you can't automate Wordpad. But if you only want to let the user view the file, you can ShellExecute() it. If you haven't used ShellExecute() before, see:

But, have you come across a list of all of Microsoft's Com servers?

I wanted to do more than just viewing. I know that shellexecute() can do it. I guess I will have to do a work around.
