We have a server running SBS 4.5. I THINK it is a domain controller but my knowledge of networking is fairly weak! There is certainly a domain name in Network Identification within Control Panel. We have now bought a much more powerful server on which we want to run Windows 2000 Server but we'd like to keep the old server accessible on the network. Ideally we would prefer not to have the old server powered up all the time so we want the new server to be the one that authenticates log-ins etc.

Can we achieve this and, if so, how do we go about it? I seem to recall seeing warnings about SBS having difficulty running alongside other types of server.

Thanks in advance.
