I receive over 1200 spams (with viruses) a day from a certain German peuster.com. At that place, you see "forbidden access". I am fed up. Can't we take action somewhere against that server to stop that?

SESaskDFC,

I am not sure of what you mean by blocking them. Can you explain? I use Mailwasher.

Do you have a firewall in place or any spam solution...

MX Logic it's expensive but great out source solution....

Okay.. what are you using for an email client and is this on a home system or a work system??

Here's one thing you can do. Go to ARIN's WhoIs and type in the name of the sending site. ARIN should provide you with the necessary contact info to compain about abuse of their site. I could not find peuster.com there so you may have to do some search work to find the actual sender, i.e., you may have to go to one of the headers of an email and get the actual IP address. Post here for more help.

If you are using mailwasher then just your the blacklist. Add sbl-xbl.spamhaus.org to the list according to their site spamcop and ordb are already on the list.

But you might want to look at filtering server side instead of client side if you have access to the server.

To whom can I complain about that marvin peuster?

I have an ordinairy phone line on Windows 98 (home system).
About Mailwasher, it already puts the tons of spams ready to be deleted, the problem is more the mass mailing that fills your mail box. What could my server use to filter that?

Start OE..

Tools>Message Rules>Blocked senders List

add "@peuster.com" (no quotations marks when you add)

Apply and okay out..

Murray

Report them to your ISP. There is a big thing about nailing spammers lately. They may like to take action on your behalf (a long shot, but better than nothing)

If you contact your ISP they we blacklist that network. Since it looks like the website is in Denmark, there's not much legal action that can be taken. Your ISP will contact them.

Thank you all for your help in that affair.

I reported it to my server and he is supposed to install an antispam filter soon. Now about Marvin Peuster: I would like to find the name of his ISP to complain there too. Is it "Hostmaster EINSUNDEINS"?
