We have a relatively new Opt 11C with an ACD set up. We use HMS-400 for voicemail and auto attendant, and OTM for most of our maintenance tasks. We (two expreienced IT folk, but pretty new on Meridian) are both learning fast as we fix things the installing vendor left undone or incorrectly implemented.

When we started installation in November, we had a 2250 console. It seemed to operate normally most of the time, but we really didn't use it properly because of training issues and historical habits from the old fujitsu switch we replaced. When it misbehaved, we had to unplug it and replug it to reset the instrument, which sometimes happened a couple times a day.

As a result, it was removed and sent back to the vendor. At this point, I don't know if they removed the programming for it, or which loads to use to see what effect any left behind programming has, being that it isn't physically on site any more.

Is there a reasonable way to view the status of the console, and (hopefully) remove it completely so it doesn't cause problems down the road?

Thanks

yes, all you need to know is that the switch is going to always be in nights.. a maxp 1 acd will direct 0, if you have auto yes routes they need a atdn reset.. your nite data and night idc will all be permanant.. a lot of small switches don't use 2250's and work fine

Have a look at the "Central Answering Position Implementation Guide" (NN43011-501) which describes using either an M3904 or IP Phone 2004 with their respective expansion modules and ACD functionality as an alternative to the M2250.

Looked for that document on both Merl and Helmsman as well as Nortel and can't find it.

check ghtrout's website, he may have a download for that.. it's real handy to search without the paper cuts

acewarlock - your "free" manuals are from X11/25.40B which are at least 5 years out-of-date.

You can get the latest NTPs & User Guides, updated in realtime as new ones are released, directly from If you don't have an account, then you can register for free.

I'm running Rls 25.40B and they work for me. I tried helping, so please excuse me if it didn't meet your standards.

my hardback manuals are 25.3 and i seldom need the merl for normal day to day, don't think i trash the hard copies.. i doubt if i ever get a new copy that is not on disk
