Can Virus Scan Enterprise be installed on ISA Server

Hello,

Can you install McAfee's Virus Scan Enterprise on ISA Server 2004? Where can I find documentation on antivirus software installed on ISA Server or specifically McAfee's VSE on ISA server?

I've got VSE8.0i with patch 11 running on an ISA2004 server for one of our customers. no problems here.
Just set the usual exclusions, eg, mdg, ldb, edb, log and you should be ok.

They're already up to patch 11?

OK - great...thanks. Are there any microsoft articles that outline the usual esclusions for ISA? I'm new to it so I didn't even know there were transaction and database logs for it.

well I've hunted round and can't find a thing!
i think it's because mcafee and symantec seem to offer av solutions specifically for ISA servers.

I'm using McAfee SecurityShield for ISA Server and I like it.

If you get this make sure you have service pack 3 for SecurityShield or your system will slow down to a crawl - it is a bug that they fixed - took me a few days to realize it.

Don't forget about the SpamKiller add on for SecurityShield.
