Can the AC1 code be changed to #9

Can the AC1 code be changed from 8 to #9 on an Option 11 ?

I just tried this on my lab switch and it wouldn't let me use #9 even though #9 is unused. Gave me an ESN040 error.

I tried it and got the message ESN040. It doesn't look as if you can use either the * or # characters.

you cant use # as it is the EOD cut off so all digits after it would be ignored
