Hi

When should I use a spacer image?
Why is it that when I preview a page in netscape 4.5, small horizontal grey lines appear at the bottom of each table with a spacer image, although the bgcolor is white?
Aren't spacer images supposed to be transparent?
There are no grey lines in netscape 6.1.

regards, goaganesha

Spacer images are used instaed of having hundreds of   , you need to actually create a transparent gif (1x1 pixels) then it won't show up with grey lines (the grey lines appear because the image dosn't exist, so it's trying to show the no-image symbol) Regards

Thanx for your reply guys,

Fact was that there was no image created.
I've created one now using the create tab in the preference panel of dreamweaver. How do I link the tables with a spacer image to this image I just created 'cause the grey lines are still there. Do I have to remove them one by one and then add them again?
