Can read; can't send

I recently upgraded my home PC to Windows XP and now, when I log into MS Exchange Server to retrieve my office e-mail, I can read messages just fine, but when I try to reply or to create a new message - nothing happens. I don't get an error message, I don't get a message window, I don't get nuttin'.

I use Outlook Express for e-mail at home.

Any suggestions?
