Can operator have night service and personal vmail? 1

Front desk operator sends calls to the night service from 5 pm to 8 am the next morning. Can she have a personal vmail box for her use during the day?

Can't answer specific questions on how the set is programmed as I'm not at the site at this time but I said that I would find out if it is possible.

if the general delivery mailbox is attached to her phone, then her personal mailbox would have to be a guest mailbox.

I opened the book and read through the section on guest mailboxes, but that prompted a few more questions that you may be able to help with.

So can the operator set be programmed to go to the guest mailbox after four rings during the day? And transfer a caller from an in-house ext. to the guest mailbox during the day? And then the night service will still function after hours as it currently does?

yes to transfer a caller to a guest mailbox
Also operator would need to either turn msg notification on in guest mailbox or routinely check for msgs as guest mailboxes aren't attached to a phone so no msg indicator.
