Can only have one DCH on CS1000M Rls 5.0

A few months back we upgraded our Opt.11c from Rls4.5 to Rls5.0
after this we are not able to get our two DCH's to work simultaneously.
I can only program one DCH and get it up and running.
If i program DCH 8 first on port 1 of the SDI/DCH-card,
it works fine, DCH established.
When I then try to add the second DCH (DCH 9) on port 3 i get a
Code:
ERR5279 DCH:9 CAUSE:3
BTW:
ERR5279
Application state was disabled, while the port on the MSDL card was
enabled.

If I out both DCH's and try to add DCH 9 first, it works.
But when I then try to add DCH 8 as the second DCH I get
the same ERR5279, and it will not establish.

I have tried with a different (new) DCHI-card, new cables, even two separate cards for each DCH.
Moved cards to different loops and cabinets, same problem everywere.

Any help greatly appreciated :)

Forgot to mention that this is D-channels used for VNS
between our main site and two branch offices.
At the branch offices we have Opt11's both on Rls. 4.5

The D-channels initialy worked after the upgrade at our
main site, until the PBX's at one of our branch offices
had an restart. After the restart (cold restart) the
D-channel refused to come up again, and thats when the
problem started.

To me this sounds like a software issue, but we haven't
been able to find any patch related to such issues.

we upgraded a system from 3.0 to 5.0 and we have 4 T1's on the system all with Dchannels. I'm not sure why. Have your vendor check this.

I would check the SLT in ld 22 to start.

Thanks janaya.
We have 2 PRI's and 2 TIE's all with their "integrated" Dchannels working fine.

The problem is with Dchannels from a SDI/DCH-card connected
with serial cabels to Cisco routers that routes the Dchannel
through our WAN to the other sites.
ADAN DCH 8
CTYP DCHI
PORT 1 (or 3)
USER VNS

And our SLT shows plenty off spare DCH licenses...

Check your patching. There wa an issue with VNS on Rls5. Basically the circuit would not come up.

-> dulfo666: Yes I'm avare of the problem with establishing VNS in Rls.5.0. We had to postpone our upgrade for 6 moths while Nortel worked out the issue.

-> johnpoole: Anything else would surprice me ;-)

-> dulfo666: Nice, I'l have our vendor check on that when I get back to the mainsite by the end of the week.
Sounds promissing, but isn't MSDL only used on large systems not Opt11's?

Thanks a lot for the feedback and suggestion.

Since I left my former job, I no longer have access to Nortels site to check for patches. Just helping our vendor working this out. They seem a little lost....
