Hello all,

It seems like Exchange is just messing with us this month.

Now we can no longer send/receive mails with attachments...

When sending, we get an "operation failed" or "permission denied" error. When receiving, the mail is archived in imcdata\in\archive - and
eventlog reports errors 12006 & 4117.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

When you reinstalled your IMS yesterday (which you should have mentioned in this post), did you put all the settings back exactly as they were in the old IMS?

yes we did, i specifically even took screen dumps of all the setting, and made sure they were as before.

thanks,

And what service pack are you running? And did you run Optimizer after you reinstalled the IMS?

We are running Exchange 5.5 SP4 on NT4.0

We have not run Optimizer. How should i proceed to do this?

We have run Optimizer, it really didn't do much.

Right now we are going through user mailboxes and cleaning up boxes that are huge. Maybe one of these boxes has something that is causing this problem?
