Can not find profile

When loging into windows I get this message...

Windows cannot log you one because the profile cannot be loaded
the system can't find the file specified

can anyone tell me what this is all about?

are you in a domain? or home computer?
your profile setup as roaming?

more info needed

the computer is on a domain and the profiles are not or should not be roaming... the first thing I thought was that it was an issue with roaming profiles but I remember the IT manager saying we didnt use them...
