Can not find astpsdat.003 file

When doing a backup I'm having a problem and the backup just continues but does not actually do the backup. The error I’m getting is as follows:
E4102 Unable to open database. (Database = astpsdat unable to locate file Runtime!/DBD C:406 then it gives the file address and the file it can not find is astpsdata.003

That is one of the files that make up the astpsdat database. Your database may be corrupt or the file was deleted. You should consider rebuilding the database.

If you don't mind starting the database over.

Install ARCserver on another system.
On the backup server stop the Database Engine and close the Manager.
Remove the contents of the Database directory.
Copy over the contents of the blank database from the temp install on the other system.
Start up ARCserve and merge any tapes you need in the database.
