Can not backup Winnt files

Hi,
Can any one advise why the Winnt folders could not able to back up. Backups neveer complete - it always show 30% or 70% finished and fo;;owing logs registerd in the log.

W3404 Unable to open file. (FILE=C:\WINNT\system32\Perflib_Perfdata_5bc.dat, EC=SHARING VIOLATION)
W3404 Unable to open file. (FILE=C:\WINNT\system32\Perflib_Perfdata_78c.dat, EC=SHARING VIOLATION)
W3404 Unable to open file. (FILE=C:\WINNT\system32\wins\wins.mdb, EC=SHARING VIOLATION)

These files cannot be backed up because they in use. 'Standard' backup software cannot backup open files. You have a few choices, stop the services linked to the open files before backing them up or use backup software that has an open file add-in or exclude these files from being backed up. You only exclude files from backups that aren't important!

I think you posted this in the wrong forum as well. Someone will tell you off no doubt.
