I got this link from the Microsoft Office Forums...
A Visual Basic-Based Active Messaging Inbox Agent (Q173915)

It's a pretty nifty little program. Basically all that it does is launch a program based on a rule in outlook.

Anyone know a way to get this DLL into my Access References or ActiveX items (not sure how this is done) so that I can just use the Launch.DLL (program launcher) from Access?

This could be a solution to a problem I'm having if I can get this to work, and then code it correctly. If it's impossible, I have asked Ben Ohara a few questions on a database that he designed (you can read about that at
'Inputting data from user forms into a table thread181-300337' if you'd like).

Thanks for your time! ------------------

Whoops, forgot to mention that the questions I asked Ben are also a possible solution to this problem I'm having.
Thanks. ------------------

I've tried this a few times, but unfortunately I get this
error.

"Can't add a reference to the specified file."

Has anyone else had this problem before? Did you get it to reference correctly, Robert? Thanks for the reply.

I've heard of the problem before, usually on machines running NT, although I don't know if this is the mjor consideration. The cause is one of
a) There is another DLL already with that name
b) The DLL is damaged.

That's the extent of what I have heard. Robert Berman

I wish either of those were true. The DLL works fine when launched from its original intended program - Outlook. I can get this feature working perfectly. So I doubt that it is damaged.
And after scanning my reference list about 10 times, I don't see the DLL referenced anywhere. Thanks for your thoughts.
